Paul Ramshaw previously Head of Regeneration & Planning at Eastleigh Borough Council for many years and staunch supporter of Eastleigh Business Network wrote and directed a film in which he asked one of EBN’s members, Nick Coleman from Adams & Co Business Sales to appear.

The story is about 3 damaged teenagers from a children’s home who skip school and go for a walk in the countryside. They stumble upon a camp buried deep in the woods where they meet a homeless ex-serviceman. He challenges their attitudes and tries to make them see the folly of their ways. When they realise he is not who he seems and has a dark secret they feel tricked and betrayed. The tension rises and the story takes a dark turn.

Paul’s film became an On-Location and Post-Production project for Southampton University students and whilst that delayed completion and release of the film, it meant the film benefitted from professional filmmaking facilities, editing suite, audio-dubbing room etc at the University. Turns out the end result was considered good enough to be selected as an entry for Southampton Film Week!

Our film “premieres” on Monday 13th of November at 7pm at the Jane Austen Lecture Theatre, Solent University, The Spark, East Park Terrace, Southampton SO14 0YN. Several EBN members are going to come along to meet up with Paul and show their support so if you would like to join EBN’s group attending the premiere, please feel free to come along. There will be no red carpet or paparazzi so casual dress will be “de rigueur” for the evening. We will probably go for a bite to eat after and make an evening of it.
